One day when I woke up at night!

One cold, sunny day
When it was raining outside
the glorious dark brightness
was perky and sublime.

The midnight that evening-
the morning at noon –
was late in October
One May in June.

I sat where I stood
as I ran, lying still
Deep down in the abyss
Over the hill.

The fish in the tree
Were sleeping in their nests
Birds were swimming
As the sun rose from the west.

Raccoons playing trumpet
Ducks hunting crows
The people beside me
were swaying to and fro.

Yes, that’s what I saw
when my eyes were closed tight,
one cold, sunny day
on a rainy, snowy night.

  1. Aeyy, I feel like screeeeaming and banging my head against the wall! 😹 Your words are messing with my brain, you’ve challenged my imagination. I’ve read it four times now and I’m like Whatttt? 😡 If I heard someone speak things like that, I’d really think they are insane.

But on the other hand, it’s so out of the box huh. We have stereotyped things and if something other than ordinary happens, the mind doesn’t digest it. This poem breaks all the barriers of imaginations and that’s what I love about your work. 😻 This surely might happen in some parallel universe, haha. Great work, Abhishek. And a biggg bigg thankyou for making my day even more perfect with your poem. I feel like the happpiest person alive. πŸ™†πŸŒΌ

      1. Yayy! Double applause for that. You have goals huh, you have one tough exam to crack. That requires lots of efforts. 😼 I don’t want to waste anymore of your time. Go ahead, bring your books and start studying. 😹 I wish I could be that busy someday. Being free sucks. πŸ™€
