To yourself

You are not
your insecurities
you are the strength
of the mountains
and the wisdom
of the rivers

You are not
the lad
in distress
You are the dragon
bringing fear
to the hearts
of men

you are everything

So breath your fire
and unleash
your strength
on the world

They will never know
what hit them

  1. We never really know what we are. A side of what we know is sorrow and pain which is so heavy that it spoils the equilibrium of strength and weakness. Where we start discovering the most important. And posts like these show our sides, somewhere balance it. Great post!

  2. Sometimes we focus so much in thinking of ourselves as relatives to something or someone that we forget ourselves as the absolute. What we need is the strength from within to face the outside and not the negativity from outside to wither what’s within. How we treat ourselves is how we treat others and interact with the world. You really inspire all of us by telling us we’re both the mythical and majestic creatures like dragon and we must know and appreciate our strengths.

Love the blog and thank you for inspiring and making us feel good. Would love if you could check out my blog too and let me know what you think.

    1. Hey Kanjika.
Thanks for taking time to read and appreciate my work. Means a lot to me. You summed up the entire poem so elegantly. The inner motivation and zeal to achieve one’s goal can do wonders. Life should be driven by our passions and goals.

I thank you again for stopping by my blog and giving a genuine feedback. I’ll visit your blog for sureπŸ™Œ
