For a Poem – Pt 2

I want to write a poetry book with simple verses
Sleep in the open air, like the old wanderers
up near the river
I’d hear upon the morning air
With my chin in my two hands, I want to sit and stare
the weathervane, the chimneys, and the wild flowers
That rise like spars above my city, straight and tall,
And the mysterious fluffy clouds over all.

I want to catch the blue mist of night in my hand
watch my room’s window illuminated by starlight
kiss the moonlight dreams
standing in the doorway
I shall see the springs, and the autumns slowly pass;
And when old Winter puts her blank face to the glass,
I shall close all my shutters, pull the curtains tight,
far I’ll dream,
alone, in rationed light

I shall walk the blue Gardens
that are a stairway into azure skies,
Drink from the Fountains
that weeps out of alabaster,
birds that sing All day —
of bloom, gloom and doom.
And riots in the streets below
Will never lure me from my task, I shall be so
Lost in this quiet ecstasy, the keenest still,
that I’ll paint this whole landscape
fierce and hot – through my burning quill

Spring’s Melody

The birds around me hopped and played
As winter’s chill started to fade away
No shivering, just warm thoughts
Came to me with each breath
Gratitude reached my heart
To carry me forward
Even though, I hate so much
I am faced with lately
Each day matters, no reasons to lament
Choices to make for a better future
Time to spread love and smiles
My faith is eternal; undying

Spring Girl

Met this lass named spring
She wore a princess dress
blushing pink as dawn
merrily she strolled
through fields and bawns

She sang to the trees
them green, some bloom!
As she touched the flowers
beauty burst forth.

She called out!
creatures came
together

She smiled
I felt…

absolute bliss!

The Twilight Firefly

00c0a53b5196be6aaec2d1676e090b05

Melodious music of summer
The clock ticks on
Shadows grow darker
Between life and the beauty

See those beautiful butterflies,
Which are soothing to my eyes.
And then you pass me by,
Just like a firefly.

As dusk walks in
On her evening chin
Time hushes
As the twilight blushes

The night descends from the stars
Among the firefly flowers
And two of us meet
What a bliss!
